This is located in Coconut Grove and it was a that we did to have more functionality and aesthetics for our clients. The started with an analysis of the existing space with a less-than-desired patio with an outdated pool. We wanted the pool to blend nicely with the tropical setting so my team put in a lot of effort for a seamless transition with the patio and and the surroundings of flora and fauna. Note: For the patio floor, we opted to use high-quality porcelain tiles that are slip-resistant and mimic the natural colors in Miami. As an enhancement to the atmosphere custom planters were added to allow for colorful plantings including native plants that do well in the Miami climate. These not only bring alive color and texture but also local wildlife around enhancing the experience of the outdoors. Graham: "From our design team's perspective, it has also been incredibly challenging for the head designer to think of solutions to keep the water flowing where it needs to while keeping it beautiful as well, especially with the drainage issues we encountered as well as the existing site layout." One of the most notable parts of the renovation is the new, energy-efficient pool system complete with LED lights that turn the area into a night-time oasis. To further maximize the usability of the outdoor space, we incorporated a shaded cabana area which is ideal for lounging or entertaining. Our clients were beyond thrilled with the final product and spent hours enjoying their beautiful transformed backyard. The process resulted in a calm oasis that far surpassed what they had in mind, mixing smart design, quality materials, and effortful workmanship to epitomize the picturesque Miami lifestyle.
