Bomar Townhomes The Bomar Townhomes , constructed by terralab | landscape architects, llc, is located in Houston and defines the intersection of aesthetic and functional design. It was designed to create an enhanced living experience for residents that compliments the surrounding community. The landscaping features a series of native plant gardens that provide visual interest year-round, while also contributing to local biodiversity. Drought tolerant species were selected to minimize reliance on water. The permeable paved pathways create access through the landscape, allow water to drain through the pavers, and provide an inviting stroll through the space. One of the biggest challenges the was to address the existing slopes and drainage problems on-site. The terralab team completed a significant amount of regrading on the site and included a well-designed drainage system to address flooding issues, while enhancing the design of the landscape. Innovative stone retaining walls provide updated solutions for structural support while resulting in a sophisticated appearance for the outdoor spaces. The end result of the Bomar Townhomes is a vibrant space that is appealing to residents and visitors alike. Shared seating areas nestled among flowering woods and ornamental grasses creates opportunities for community interaction. Lighting will accentuate the flowers in the gardens at twilight to deepen the magical experience.
