About This Project

The Fireplace Focal Point project is a stunning transformation that redefines the heart of this living space, showcasing both aesthetic beauty and functional craftsmanship. Originally, the fireplace presented a purely utilitarian appearance, lacking the charm and character that one would expect in a traditional home. Our goal was to elevate this feature into a captivating centerpiece that harmonizes with the overall design of the room. Utilizing Rookwood Pottery's exquisite architectural tiles, we designed a fireplace that embodies the essence of Old World elegance. The intricate detailing and rich colors of the tiles create a striking visual appeal, drawing the eye immediately upon entry. Complementing this focal point, we carefully selected new crown moulding that adds a touch of sophistication, enhancing the architectural integrity of the room. The choice of paint color was pivotal; we opted for warm, inviting tones that reflect the vibrant palette of the fireplace, ensuring a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. To further enhance the aesthetic, we recommended window treatments that allow natural light to filter softly, accentuating the warmth of the space while providing privacy when needed. The furnishings were selected with great care, each piece thoughtfully chosen to complement the fireplace and maintain a classic yet comfortable ambiance. The pièce de résistance is a dramatic Oriental rug sourced from The Rug Gallery, which anchors the room and ties together the vibrant reds, greens, and golds, echoing the rich hues found in the fireplace tiles. The outcome of this project is a harmonious blend of functionality and design, where the fireplace stands as a testament to exquisite craftsmanship and thoughtful design choices. This rejuvenated space not only serves as a gathering place for family and friends but also as a stunning visual focal point that adds warmth and character to the home.
