New Landscape by Modern Landscape Landscape architecture studio Modern Landscape has designed 'New Landscape', a surreal outdoor refuge for a critical client within a Meridian, Idaho neighborhood. This impressive landscaping involved time-consuming planning, execution, and skills to demonstrate high quality and creativity in suburbs of Boise and Eagle, Garden City, Star, Middleton, Nampa, and Caldwell. It started with a thorough site assessment that was conducted and showed the same vision for an incredible outdoor space. Our team managed hurdles from sloped ground to bad soil, having to utilize a tailored grading solution to facilitate drainage and enhance durability amongst the landscaping elements. We used high-quality natural stone paths, high-quality pavers and environmentally friendly mulch that complement the existing landscape. At its heart is a simple yet beautiful water feature, which acts as a highlight, as well as a calming and soothing element, adding tranquillity to the bold landscape. We planted a wide variety of native low care and resilient species (special consideration was given for blooming time with more flowered species blooming at different times of the year so it looks good all year round) around this oasis. Custom-built seating and a fire pit elevated the outdoor living area into an ideal gathering space for family and friends. We explored a variety of options, and landed on a design that not only integrates well with the home, but also aligns with our client's needs and vision. In the end, we had completely turned our clients formal yard into a stunning landscape beyond what they hoped for and expected for their own backyard sanctuary. We believe that this outdoor space was nothing short of a work of art, thoughtfully designed, detailed out on paper and executed on site using quality materials resulting in a beautiful end product illustrating the excellence of Modern Landscape in serving its clients. The New Landscape is a testament to our commitment to improving outdoor living spaces across the Boise metro and beyond.
