The Reserve at Lake Keowee PR At The Reserve at Lake Keowee PR, CMHP Design, LLC has completed a that showcases the art of superior landscaping in the heart of South Carolina. This bridges the divide between nature and human-made design, beautifying the area while enhancing functionality for outdoor living. The landscape incorporates many types of native plants (that were hard from the green industry) chosen specifically to thrive in the regional climate and soils. Hardscape materials were sourced sustainably where possible, including local stone used to build retaining walls and walking surfaces, capturing the beauty of our region’s natural landscape while adding longevity and durability. The terrain was steep so we strategically used grading to create outdoor spaces that were visually stunning and accessible. The entrance was grandly appointed with ornamental grasses to accent there entry sidewalk and flowering perennials that welcome guest from the driveway to the entrance of the main structure. Once guests walk through the landscape they meander around pathways that gradually lead to views of Lake Keowee in the distance. As the guests walk the paths, there are gatherings spaces, including reading chairs and a fountain, nestled in green spaces or sub-gardens of vegetation. A butterfly garden was strategically selected and located along with seating to inspire movement. Now, the successful result is beautifully curated landscape that maximizes architectural design, provides outdoor living options, and satisfied the client and their community.
