Spring Meadow Residence by Live Design Located in the striking foothills of Utah, Spring Meadow Residence demonstrates Live Design's commitment to excellence in the practice of landscape architecture and landscape design. Serving the vibrant communities situated between Alpine and Salt Lake Valley, the captures a genuine integration of nature and modern living. The process began with thorough site investigation - Once we understood the site, our design team engaged in a collaborative effort to transform the existing yard into a peaceful outdoor sanctuary that would also complement the home, creating usable spaces for relaxation and entertainment. Our overall design concept involved a terraced garden that utilized native plantings which thrive in the local climate and natural habitat. Quality of materials were important to us, and that included the introduction of natural stone pathways that weave through the plantlife and invite visitors to a custom-built fire pit area where friends and family can gather under the stars. We incorporated water-efficient irrigation systems and positioning of the planting to maximize conservation, while allowing the plant life to thrive despite Utah's arid climate. The property had the unique challenge of being situated on sloped landscape, which we used as an opportunity to design terraced flower and planting beds which created stepped density and visual interest. The design process included selecting a color palette of native perennials, ornamental grasses, and flowering shrubs which contribute to the seasonal bloom and interest to the overall landscape. At completion, the Spring Meadow Residence was transformed into a lush garden oasis that thrilled the clients, who struggled to articulate their delight in the added functionality to their yard and beauty. The is a point of pride for Live Design, detailing the commitments to craftsmanship, creative thinking, and a respect for the natural environment - All while creating a special place for the family to enjoy and contribute to the surrounding community.
