Modern Kitchen Renovation with Dual Color Scheme

This contemporary kitchen remodel showcases a stunning transformation that breathes new life into the heart of the home. The homeowners sought to create a lighter, more inviting atmosphere by eliminating the outdated ceramic tile countertops and backsplash. To achieve this, we meticulously restructured the peninsula, lowering it from a two-tier design to a sleek, single-level countertop complemented by a decorative panel on the back side, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. Central to the remodel was the installation of a large fire clay farmhouse sink, which required modifications to the plumbing and cabinetry. In place of the previous glass cabinets above the sink, we installed elegant floating shelves that provide both style and practicality, allowing for easy access to kitchen essentials while maintaining an open feel. To seamlessly integrate appliances, we removed the existing cabinet housing the microwave and replaced it with a deep appliance garage cabinet, cleverly concealing the microwave and contributing to a clean, uncluttered look. The cabinetry was refaced using the Kitchen Solvers Classic Collection Seamless Shaker style, featuring a painted snow finish for the upper cabinets that beautifully contrasts with the rich naval painted finish of the lower cabinets. This two-tone color scheme adds depth and sophistication to the space. The new ENVI Statuario Flora quartz countertops were installed over the majority of the base cabinets, with a warm butcher block countertop over the desk area, and a striking wood countertop finished in naval with a glass top for protection over the hutch base cabinet. To complete the aesthetic, a light blue glass subway tile backsplash encircles most of the kitchen, while a distinctive hex-shaped glass tile runs up the wall behind the sink, creating an eye-catching focal point. Under-cabinet lighting was strategically installed to accentuate the tile and illuminate the countertops, enhancing the overall ambiance. This contemporary kitchen remodel perfectly marries functionality with modern design, resulting in a stunning space that is both beautiful and practical.
