About This Project

+ Upland Ave landscape transformation by Amazing Garden & Construction The Upland Ave is one of the few examples that represent the artistic work of Amazing Garden & Construction in the heart of a Newton neighborhood. At more than 2,500-square-feet, it seamlessly combines function with form, turning a former boring, basic yard into an incredible outdoor space. However, we were up for the challenge with this sloped terrain and had to get creative with our grading and retaining wall . Instead, we used locally sourced granite boulders to build strong, attractive retaining walls to hold the earth and create a natural appearance in our landscape. Native plant species were integrated in a way that ensured a diverse color palette that flourishes in the regionally climate all whilst enhancing biodiversity with species like ornamental grasses and flowering perennials. A gorgeous flagstone path runs through the garden leading through various flower beds and seating areas. Not only do permeable pavers help to beautify a space, they allow water to drain through which is an important aspect of sustainability. With strategically placed river rocks to keep the natural aesthetic, our skilled craftsmen built a warm fire pit area, perfect for those cool nights. This resulted in the creation of an automated irrigation system, which allows this rich landscape to remain vibrant and inviting all year round with the least amount of maintenance possible. The final product is an appropriate and utilitarian balance of hardscape and softscape that works with the vision of the client in mind, but not without addressing the unique site challenges. The happy homeowners have a peaceful hideaway in their own backyard, a practical outdoor space that truly embodies their style. The Massachusetts landscapes that we create say a lot Richard and his commitment to quality and client satisfaction, and we are proud to have transformed Upland Ave. into a thing of beauty representing landscapes that stand the test of time in Newton and beyond.
