About This Project

The Greendale project transformed a traditional shaker-style home in Pittsburgh, PA, addressing the challenges posed by a cramped, dysfunctional kitchen approximately 10'x12' in size and an oversized dining room. The remodel aimed to create a more open and user-friendly space that would accommodate modern living needs while retaining the home's classic charm. By relocating the kitchen to the former dining room area, we were able to introduce a spacious layout that now features a large island capable of seating five, making it an ideal gathering spot for family and friends. The kitchen design emphasizes functionality without sacrificing aesthetics. High-quality materials were selected to ensure durability and elegance, including custom cabinetry that complements the shaker style, and countertops crafted from premium stone. The color palette reflects a harmonious blend of soft neutrals and warm wood tones, fostering an inviting atmosphere. The craftsmanship is evident in every detail, from the intricate tile work to the carefully designed lighting that enhances both the beauty and usability of the space. In addition to the kitchen transformation, the project also included improvements to the back entrance, where we integrated functional storage for coats and shoes, addressing the practical needs of the household. A much-needed powder room was also added, significantly enhancing the home's convenience and flow for everyday use and entertaining guests. The second-floor bathroom was updated to reflect modern standards while maintaining the home's traditional character, ensuring consistency throughout the residence. The outcome of the Greendale project is a beautifully reimagined living space that marries functionality with style, providing a warm and welcoming environment that enhances the overall quality of life for its residents. This remodel not only improves the daily experience of the homeowners but also adds significant value to the property, making it a standout example of thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship.
