This progressive showcases a seamless connection to nature and provides numerous functional outdoor uses that create beautiful spaces to enjoy the landscape that surrounds them. The design promotes a series of connected outdoor rooms, programmed for different uses of relaxation, dining or entertaining. Premium, organic materials used in the design and construction are natural stone pavers and sustainably harvested hardwood decking. The incorporation of lush, native plants enhances visual beauty, increases biodiversity, attracts beneficial wildlife, and reduces maintenance needs. One of the key challenges in design and construction was the sloped topography of the existing property. The designers brandt a solution that graded the slope so that for each space there was smooth transition, while managing the surface drainage to limit pooling of water. The architectural adjustments made in this phase of the complemented the required enhancements to generate a gracious, usable flow. The final result was a remarkable series of outdoor spaces where the client entertains friends or relaxes with family. The addition of low, ambient lighting, fire pits, seating areas, and televisions, had transformed the backyard into an alluring outdoor retreat that could be used all year long. The client was delighted with the result and expressed sheer joy in their new outdoor sanctuary.
