About This Project

The "A Touch of Teal" project transformed a previously dark and wood-heavy kitchen into a vibrant and inviting space that now reflects the homeowner's personality. The original kitchen featured a cramped island dominated by the cooktop, while the peninsula seating left much to be desired in terms of functionality and aesthetics. Additionally, the adjacent Powder Room and Laundry rooms required updates to enhance their usability and style. Our design approach drew inspiration from an accent wall located at the far end of the kitchen, which served as a catalyst for the overall color palette. The centerpiece of the renovation is the architectural island, designed in a striking teal hue, specifically "Teal Stencil" by Showplace Wood Products. This bold choice not only brightens the space but also provides a stunning contrast to the lighter cabinetry and countertops, creating a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. The renovation prioritized openness and flow, allowing for better movement and interaction within the kitchen. By removing unnecessary barriers and reconfiguring the layout, we successfully created a transitional space that seamlessly connects with surrounding areas. The updated kitchen now boasts new flooring that is both pet-friendly and visually appealing, addressing the homeowner's concerns about the prior hardwood floors that their pets disliked. The craftsmanship involved in this project highlights attention to detail and high-quality materials, ensuring durability and style. The end result is a kitchen that is not only functional for cooking and entertaining but also a delightful space for daily living. The newly designed Powder Room and Laundry rooms complement the overall aesthetic, providing a harmonious feel throughout the home. With a budget range of $100,001 to $150,000, this renovation has elevated the homeowner's living experience, creating a light, bright, and welcoming environment that is full of personality.
