Urban Redesign by B & B Outdoor Solutions LLC B & B Outdoor Solutions LLC proudly delivered the 'Urban Redesign', located in the middle of an active urban area. This outdoor was originally a neglected space that has now been transformed into an urban sanctuary. Our team, who serves areas ranging from Arlington to Woburn gladly accepted the task of transforming this space while respecting the design constraints of limited size, and being highly functional and attractive. A new modern hardscape featuring permeable pavers that promote water drainage and reduce runoff was installed. Water runoff was regulated by not only the water management of the pavers but also the selection of a robust palette of native plants that provide diversity and sustainability that thrive in the local climate and provide a wonderful visual display year-round. Beautiful custom seating areas that our artisan team built were made from sustainable hardwood, providing a great spot to sit and relax amidst the busy urban area. A primary concern for the design was the poor quality of soil and limited light in areas. Our team was able to provide soil amendments and plant placement that created several microclimates to encourage growth and liveliness. The end result is a green space that is vibrant even in the shaded areas. The incorporation of a modern water feature, which was designed with soothing sounds and ambiance for the owners, was noted as a particular positive attribute of the design by the clients. We also provided LED lighting on the planters, which allowed pivotal areas to be even more enhanced after dark. The 'Urban Redesign' enhanced the aesthetics and value of the property, and developed a gorgeous space for not only the owners but the surrounding community.
