'Outdoor Living Spaces' is our newest that has put this sentiment into action and is a completed for an amazing client on beautiful Mercer Island. This consisted of designing and building, an outdoor space that could serve many purposes while still integrating harmoniously with the natural features of the property. An expansive paver patio made of locally sourced stone was installed, providing a high-quality, long-lasting surface for relaxation and entertaining. Native plant beds of perennials and shrubs were also added around the patio that not only provided year-round color but helped sustain the local wildlife. While thoughtful, this was not without its challenges. One of the challenges was dealing with the slope of the property while ensuring proper drainage when the outdoor living spaces are being used. The landscape architects skillfully terraced and created a slope that was functional and aesthetically appealing while also managing proper drainage for the patio, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit. The attention to detail ensured that the outdoor living space is inviting even when it rains. A custom-built fire pit with natural stone was provided for the evenings to create a cozy area to gather on those Pacific Northwest chilly evenings. The outdoor kitchen integrates perfectly and provides the owner all the conveniences of a full outdoor kitchen with stainless-steel appliances and granite countertops. The final product is a beautiful outdoor living space that reflects the homeowner's vision for the property while highlighting the incredible natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. The combination of quality craftsmanship and thoughtful design met the homeowner's aspirations and exceeded their expectations to become a space that will foster life-long memories.
