The Tyrol Road project is a stunning transformation of a 4-bedroom, 2.5 bath residence located in the scenic upper Truckee area. Originally built in the early 90s, the home underwent a complete cosmetic remodel driven by the vision of our New Zealand clients, who desired a mountain modern design aesthetic that leans towards contemporary sophistication. The remodel emphasizes clean lines, open spaces, and a seamless blend of modern materials. At the heart of the renovation is the newly designed kitchen, featuring sleek cabinetry complemented by accent lighting that highlights its minimalist design. Open shelving adds both functionality and a touch of elegance, while exposed steel beams create a visual connection with the adjacent great room. This space has been enhanced with re-shaped windows that invite natural light and views of the surrounding landscape. A modern steel fireplace facade, flanked by luxurious leather wall tiles, serves as a striking focal point, with floating cabinetry that provides both style and storage. The project also included the transformation of a previously underutilized hallway into a small home office, defined by glass walls that allow for light and openness while maintaining privacy. The two full bathrooms and powder room were meticulously remodeled to reflect the home’s new aesthetic. Each bathroom showcases a floating vanity with a lighted toe kick, flat panel cabinetry in a warm wood stain, and white engineered quartz countertops that bring a fresh, contemporary feel. Matte black fixtures and accessories add a bold contrast, while stunning herringbone accent tiles in the shower create a sophisticated texture.
