About This Project

Newton, Mass BACKYARD RE-LANDSCAPE This was performed by our partners at Garden City Landscape, and represents the type of quality, creativity, and satisfaction we work for at home, in Newton, Massachusetts. Our team was hired to redesign this underused outdoor space to give it new life, enhancing both the function and beauty of the whole area. We started this by conducting a thorough site analysis to ensure the design fit the client and the site, perfectly. We included several vivid native plants such as healthy ferns and flowering and colourful perennials to promote biodiversity with little maintenance. All of the materials were used in a sustainable way we chose stone for the patio, both eco-friendly and available locally, and created a cozy gathering area for the family. One of our biggest challenges was tackling the slope and the drainage problems. Our crews did an amazing job of grading the yard and putting in a very nice drainage system so that rainwater would go out and away from the house. It also solved the flooding risk and protected the freshly planted plants. We built a custom fire pit with seating to enjoy fire nights, either outdoor or for friends at night. Stylish, gravel-lined paths lead guests through the garden, and outdoor lighting displays the beauty of the landscape after dark. Our client was thrilled with the end result of this and now has a functional and peaceful escape in their own backyard. This created personal value by the family to have a place of their own to generate memories in, in addition to the money gained by flipping the property. We take great pride in ensuring our work produces immaculate results beyond our clients expectations and we are showing off a perfect example of our work here in the Backyard Re-Landscape in Newton for Garden City Landscape.
