Fun Yard Renovation by Alex and Sons Landscaping At Alex and Sons Landscaping we are proud to introduce the Fun Yard Renovation, a that transformed a family in Thornton's outdoor living situation. We support a variety of communities including Derby, Dupont, Federal Heights, Henderson, Northglenn, Sherrelwood, Welby, and Eastlake. We were charged with transforming a backyard to energize families of all ages. This began with a comprehensive consultation to hear the client's vision. This yard was hardly used and had overgrown shrubs with no real plan or design. Our team began the process of cleaning up the space to start the work. There were many elements to the renovation, including a custom-built fire pit with seating for family friendly fun or entertainment in the evening. We added a colorful mix of native plants that offer color and enhance local wildlife. The pathways were durable permeable paver surfaces that drain water effectively and naturally beautify the yard. Along with some of these interesting elements came challenges such as uneven ground. This required creative grading solutions to create a level area for usable space. A combination of layouts and resilient landscaping ideas turned this challenge into an opportunity to build multi-level garden beds to offer depth. The end result was a synergistic landscape that balances practicality with beauty. The client loved the visual transformation of the landscape, and described how the aesthetic qualities have made their yard a gathering place for family, including barbecues in summer, fires in the backyard, etc. At Alex and Sons Landscaping we focus on the quality of our work and our clients experience. This not only enhanced the curb appeal of the property, but ultimately allowed our clients to further enjoy their yard and outdoor living space, which was a testament that outdoor design enhances life!
