Landscape Installations by Peter Atkins and Associates, LLC At Peter Atkins and Associates, LLC, we love to create beautiful landscapes that work with the natural environment. The most recent we worked on, “Landscape Installations,” demonstrates that commitment to quality and creativity. Peter Atkins and Associates, LLC serves high end neighborhoods in places like Armonk, Bedford, and Greenwich. We were engaged to re-imagine a residential property that needed to be upgraded for beauty and function. To begin the we first consulted with the owners to see what they envisioned. We created a complicated design for the owners using native plant options that would be sustainable, while also introducing color and texture. We sourced the highest quality natural stone for patios and pathways; looking not only at durability but also how the stone would fit into the landscape. The property presented added challenges due to its topography being very uneven. This created potential drainage issues on the property. We wanted to solve drainage issues but also wanted the property to be beautiful so our skilled landscapers created a drainage system using French drains and swales in certain areas that would provide optimal water management while also still providing the perfect aesthetic that the homeowners desired! The detailed attention we provided would ensure that heavy rain would not ruin the look of the landscaping. Final installations included a water feature for soothing sounds, approximately 25' of hand-crafted stone walls to define garden beds, flowering perennials and flowering ornamental shrubs that would bloom seasonally, and outdoor lighting that would allow the landscape to be just as beautiful at night as it was during the day, creating a welcoming space for the owners and their guests. After all was said and done, the homeowners were just thrilled! The "Landscape Installations" not only enhanced the look of their property but also created great outdoor living spaces for comfort and entertainment.
