Detailed Landscape: We See Outdoor Spaces as a Palette on Which to Paint a Retreat We Transform Gardens According to Visions and Increase Property Value We just finished this incredible 'Residential Property Makeover' for a Fort Collins client, in the Ft Collins, Laporte, Severance, Timnath, Wellington, Windsor areas. We started this with an assessment of the existing setting which included an overgrown garden, tired hardscaping, and poor use of the outdoor space. Working with the homeowners we created this design to integrate there lifestyle needs into an aesthetic layout. The two most important features in the makeover were a custom stone patio made with durable local flagstone that gave them a unique and inviting area to entertain. To complement the entire outdoor experience we constructed a beautifully and handcrafted pergola that provided shade and structure with climbing vines at base that would grow and expand over the years. We also included a diverse selection of native plants and perennials that added visual interest while supporting local biodiversity. Another issue we struggled with was that the land was undulating, meaning grading and drainage had to be handled very carefully. Using natural boulders, our experienced team built tiered plant beds using locally quarried retaining walls, giving the landscape interest and dimension to help control erosion. The overall finished product was stunning, and our clients were ecstatic. Their yard, which had previously been left to grow wild, was now being crafted into an iconic landscape that complemented the natural beauty of the local area. The new features were subtly highlighted using soft lighting creating the perfect evening hideout. The clients were thrilled with the results, saying the transformation not only enhanced the curb appeal of their property but supplied them with a tranquil outdoor haven to relax and entertain.
