About This Project

Hilltop Sanctuary by Elite Landscape & Outdoor Living Set within the tranquil hillside area of Castle Rock, the Hilltop Sanctuary was a culmination of the artistry and craftsmanship Elite Landscape & Outdoor Living is known for. We worked to create a stunning outdoor living space that played to the strengths of the natural site, transforming a sloped, wasted yard into a gorgeous outdoor setting. The featured a multi-tiered dimension that maximized space for the occupants without compromising the overall aesthetic appearance of the yard. Natural stone retaining walls were designed using granite sourced from a local quarry that provided structural integrity and aesthetic satisfaction. Native planting incorporated into landscape beds created a sustainable garden in consideration of the clients’ desire for minimal upkeep, while promoting local biodiversity and originally intended water usage. One of the challenges of the property was the steep slope which posed an opportunity to devise solutions for proper drainage and soil erosion. Our talented team developed a more sophisticated drainage system, that was cleverly concealed by decorative gravel pathways, while effectively routing accumulated rainwater away from the house and retaining integrity within planting beds. The main feature of the Hilltop Sanctuary setting was an overwhelmingly stunning custom-built fire pit with comfortable furniture built from reclaimed wood and conversation cushions - inviting family evenings around the fire or star-gazing after dark. Additionally, ambient lighting throughout the garden outlined the extraordinary foliar, while contributing to a magical experience at dusk. Overall, we delivered a balance of beauty and function which elated our clients - who now have a luxury developed space for recreational purposes as well as permitted the expansion of property value.
