About This Project

The Living Room & Dining Room Makeover project in Austin, TX, exemplifies a harmonious blend of functionality and elegance, perfectly tailored for entertaining family and friends. The client envisioned a space that would not only serve daily living needs but also create a welcoming atmosphere for gatherings. The design process began with a comprehensive assessment of the existing layout, which allowed us to envision a more dynamic and versatile environment. In the dining room, we introduced a fully built-in bar, complete with two wine and beverage refrigerators and an ice maker, ensuring that refreshments are always within easy reach for guests. On the opposite wall, we crafted a coffee bar that features ample storage below, providing a practical solution for coffee enthusiasts and enhancing the room's functionality. Moving into the living room, we transformed an underutilized corner into a stunning nook designed to showcase the client's piano, complemented by an art niche that highlights their collection. This thoughtful integration of personal elements adds character to the space. The former blank wall that housed the entertainment center underwent a dramatic transformation; it now features a sophisticated built-in electric fireplace and television unit. This creation includes storage cabinets and lighted display shelves above, offering both style and practicality. To enhance the aesthetic appeal, the fireplace is finished with a striking stacked stone surround, while the TV area is adorned with painted shiplap that contributes to the overall transitional design. The custom-built mantle and hearth house all necessary audio equipment, ensuring a clean and organized appearance. The craftsmanship throughout this project reflects attention to detail, with high-quality materials selected to create a lasting impression. The outcome is a stunning and inviting living and dining space that not only meets the client's needs but also elevates their home’s ambiance, making it an ideal setting for entertaining and relaxation alike.
