Timeless Tudor: An Elegant Makeover | Nashville, TN At Gardens of Babylon Landscapes, we take pride in designing stunning gardens, and our most recent , 'Timeless Tudor,' is a testament to that. Located in the middle of Nashville, TN, this beautiful landscape exceeded expectations by transforming the yard of this historical Tudor-style home into a blend of elegance and usability. The property brought its challenges, including a hilly slope and a great need for drainage solutions to address Nashville's unpredictable weather. We graded the lot to alleviate some of these challenges and installed a premium French drain system that addresses water management while maintaining the garden's aesthetic. Our plant palette reflected a native, harmonious feel to the old-world character of the Tudor home, featuring hydrangeas, lavender, ornamental grasses, and lush, colorful epi-perennials. An inviting custom stone series of paths were installed with local flagstone to invite visitors from the front garden to the backyard oasis seamlessly designed to flow organically. The rear yard beholds our special outdoor living space, focalized off the combination stone patio, built-in fire pit, and intimate sitting area surrounded by vibrant perennials and seasonal plant offerings. To recreate the rustic feel, we focused on the use of reclaimed wood for the structure of the pergola. In the end, Timeless Tudor is a permanent, timeless masterpiece that organically compliments the Tudor architecture while also providing a fun refuge for the owners and their family and friends. When our client stands back and realizes how we transformed their home, it is visible and well received, yet even more so, sits in the most beautifully designed shortcut to nature and respite on their property.
