Curb Appeal by GLC Lawn & Landscaping LLC At GLC Lawn & Landscaping LLC, we enjoy creating incredible outdoor spaces that are functional as well as beautiful. One of our latest examples is a transformation of a front yard for a residential property in Belleville, Michigan, called Curb Appeal. The involved a combination of natural components blended with modernism and style. The first step in the process was to analyze the existing landscape, which was established with overgrown shrubs and a dull lawn. Once we identified the current conditions, we engaged and worked with the homeowners to establish the vision they had to create a bright, inviting entryway to their home. To facilitate the completion of the , we used quality materials (locally sourced stone) to create pathing and edging that were not only functional but extremely durable and aesthetically blended into the existing landscape. A flagstone walkway was installed from the circular driveway to the front door with some flower beds that lead visitors up to the homes front door that included the addition of perennial flower variations that would have color blooms all 3 seasons. One of the challenges we had to contend with was a fairly significant slope in the yard. In order to create some depth and interest in the landscape and plantings, tiered flower beds were incorporated to the design while eliminating any potential erosion hazards with the slope. The GLC team leveled the yard and created retaining wall tiering with elegant timber structures, thus eliminating the slope and creating an inviting feeling in the front yard. With utilizing the lighting that was a part of the design, more of the features on the new landscape could be appreciated. LED pathway lights and flower bed lights were added to highlight the design and landscape features, which illuminated the area once it was dark outside. The final product was remarkable from all angles. The homeowners expressed immense satisfaction in the enhancement of their curb appeal, and it was apparent that the initial investment would have upward mobility in their property value once it was on the market. All provided services were balance between being beautifully designed, using quality materials, and keeping in consideration all timelines and budgets.
