Graves Landscape & Outdoor Living Custom Landscape Today we are proud to showcase one of our stunning landscape process's called the 'Custom Landscaping' brought to you by Graves Landscape & Outdoor Living in Rockwall, TX. With the diverse communities of Dallas, Fate, Garland, Heath and it was our team lead with working with a client to achieve a new outdoor renovation plan blending both beauty and a functional oasis. It included an impressive selection of landscape: drought-tolerant Texas plants that flourish in our region, promoting sustainability and requiring low maintenance. Providing a natural feel to the landscape, we used flagstone sourced from the local area and installed elegant stone pathways connecting the different spaces. The outdoor living area centers on a custom built fire pit that is surrounded by comfortable, weather resistant seating, creating the perfect space for entertaining family and friends. We had several unique challenges to work through the biggest being the slope of the site, which we tackled with tiered garden beds. They also provided character and improved drainage and soil retention (True, 2002). We wanted the best for our plants in the spring, so our team painstakingly hunted down the best mulch and soil amendments to help the plants thrive, producing lots of beautiful flowers throughout the year. Then to really take things up a notch, we introduced outdoor lighting that provides plenty of illumination while also focusing on certain features of the landscape, coming together to create a magical evening space. It was a perfect fusion of functional but beautiful which impressed our client and transformed the yard into a retreat reflecting the personal style of our clients.
