Outline: Mediterranean Style Landscape by Pacific Outdoor Living Pacific Outdoor Living's Mediterranean Style Landscape is located in Los Angeles and began with a conventional backyard arrangement. Throughout the installation, we focused on improving our clients' backyard experience and creating a space reminiscent of the lovely Mediterranean regions of Southern Europe. We completed this for clients from Bel Air to Santa Maria, where we designed and created a landscape that delivered the elegance and warmth of Mediterranean design. Our Mediterranean-style landscape captures the essence of coastal living with a combination of terracotta pavers and rustic stone paths designed to meander through lush plantings. The selection of bougainvillea, lavender, and ornamental olive trees create year-round color and lushness while performing in the Southern California climate. The landscape architects at Pacific Outdoor Living developed decorative pots and beautiful tile elements to evoke a true Mediterranean feel. One of the significant design challenges of this was the slope of the existing backyard from high to low points. Our design team created expertly crafted tiered garden beds that maximize space and create a visually interesting landscape with the slope of the property. With an integrated design, the sloped climate allows a portion of the landscape to be accessed and maintained while emphasizing individual plant vitality. The highlight of the space is the beautifully designed outdoor living area with a custom-built pergola of climbing vines for comfortable dining in the shade. Built-in cooking and dining options welcome family gatherings and great entertaining. After completion, the satisfied client told us that the Mediterranean Style Landscape has become their favorite retreat for a relaxing environment to unwind and enjoy the scenery of nature in their backyard.
