CEFFECT: POTTERY by CHIP-N-DALE'S CUSTOM LANDSCAPING Located in the busy heart of Summerlin, this 'Pottery' is similar to the works of art and craftsmanship that CHIP-N-DALE'S CUSTOM LANDSCAPING is known for. When Virginia designer Wendi Oltman decided to create an outdoor home in the backyard, she started with a large canvas, not only to connect her family's home to the great outdoors, but also to match glamour with function. When we first took on the , the back area was steep and unshaped, making it hard to plant gardens or create practical spaces outside. Carefully, we mapped out an extensive grading plan, so every place would not only look beautiful but also accommodate the various types of plant life perfectly. The right materials were very important; we used high-quality, sustainable stone pavers for walkways that guide familiar routes through the landscape, and fresh, organic mulch and native materials were used to create a sustainable environment. The custom pottery installation is a unique highlight and serves as both an art piece and a function. Every single piece was handpicked to match vibrant flowering plants, such as lantana, bougainvillea, and desert marigolds were arranged to bring blooms for all seasons colour and texture. Not only does this improve the aesthetics the pottery create micro-habitats that are beneficial for local wildlife. By developing specific design strategies to grapple with these challenges, we were able to overcome logistical hurdles (e.g., stringent HOA guidelines, each unit having different heights, etc.) as well as adapt to the unique climate considerations of the site. The end result is form and function that exceeds the pleasure of our satisfied clients. Now, the 'Pottery' serves as an embodiment of our dedication to quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction. A haven for family and friends gathering to watch the sunset or simply enjoying an evening of peace and quiet, it embodies everything we love outdoor life here in Henderson, and beyond.
