About This Project

The Transitional Kitchen Remodel with New Sandstone Colored Cabinets transformed a decades-old kitchen into a fresh, warm, and inviting space that reflects the family's vision and needs. This young family, now owners of the home where one of them grew up, longed for a kitchen that not only honored the memories of the past but also supported their growing family and entertaining lifestyle. The project began with a thoughtful design approach, focusing on budget-friendly cabinets that offered both aesthetic appeal and durability, ensuring that quality was not compromised for cost. Central to the renovation was the removal of a cumbersome wall that divided the large area and housed an impractical closet. By knocking down most of this wall, we created a more open layout, allowing for easier movement and interaction, especially with their toddler. The odd peninsula that previously interrupted the flow of the kitchen was also removed, further enhancing the spaciousness and functionality of the area. To complement the new design, the flooring was meticulously patched and refinished in a modern color, providing a cohesive look that ties together the various elements of the kitchen. The choice of sandstone-colored cabinets plays a pivotal role in the overall aesthetic, bringing warmth and a contemporary touch to the space.
