A beautiful multi level deck in a site sensitive observation as part of this , located in the Wellesley community. A familycentric outdoor space was what theclient was looking for, a space that would cater for functional and easy living and aesthetics. We started with an analysis of the site, looking at sunlight, privacy and the topology of the site and how nature flows through the land by our experienced team. Sustainably sourced mahogany decking was used for the outdoor area for its durability and rich, warm hues, further complimenting the elegance of the design. The sloped site was a unique challenge in that it required creative engineering to provide a stable foundation while making the most of the space. We put in a number of solid support beams and drainage features so that water wouldn't be able to pool up and create damage to the deck over time. We also added built-in seating and planter boxes to give the client the opportunity to seasonally plant flowers to tie the deck back into the wonderful gardens that envelope it. We finished the off by installing ambient lighting that beautifully lights up the deck during nighttime, lending a magic flare to evening gatherings. The end product was everything the client envisioned, and then some, balancing between form and aesthetic beautifully.
