This challenge provided an opportunity to use tiered garden beds to create both visual interest, install drainage in appropriate areas, and manage sloping conditions more easily. We also specified permeable pavers for the patio area to manage excess surface runoff, and have an inviting usable gathering space in back for the homeowner's family and friends. In the end, the transformed the property from an ordinary, flat, boring lawn into a presentation of lush greenery, welcoming pathways, and peaceful seating areas in all the right places.
