Major Home Addition Requires Landscaping Update As completed by Heather Moll-Dunn Landscape and Garden Design Set in the Atlanta Metro area, this prominent was undertaken to improve the outdoor spaces of a home recently completed with an addition. Heather Moll-Dunn Landscape and Garden Design accepted the challenge of creating a landscape to work with the home's new architecture and an almost untouched surrounding landscape. This offered a multi-dimensional option for landscaping that featured dedicated use of native plants for sustainability and low maintenance. A fanfare of ornamental grasses, flowering perennials, and shrubs offering excitement for birds and butterflies created an inviting display of color. The return of the disconnected, natural stone pathway will lead guests through the plantings, while also providing an important function. The team knew that we would have challenges. Undulating topography, and existing drainage within the newly planted spaces, needed to be managed after the installation completed. HMD Landscaping created an elaborate grading system and a French drain to ensure water flowed to mitigate erosion but not harm our plants. To assist in outdoor living, we created an inviting patio area using high-quality eco pavers to add appeal to the homes exterior. Built-in seats are now cushioned for family and friends to sit back and enjoy. At the end of the , the homes landscape is cohesive and inviting, not only improving curb appeal but now providing a garden retreat for homeowners. Our client loved the landscape remodel and expressed appreciation for the efforts and materials used to remodel the landscape.
