The Windsor Kids' Washroom project successfully transformed a shared bathroom into a stylish, functional space designed to meet the evolving needs of both a teenage girl and a young boy. The clients envisioned a design that would not only accommodate their children but also serve as an inviting guest space when needed. The project began with a comprehensive assessment of the existing layout, which revealed several key challenges: insufficient storage for cosmetics and electronics, a cramped shower area, an overflowing linen closet, and limited counter space. To address these issues, the layout was reconfigured to relocate the toilet, allowing for the addition of a second sink, which significantly enhanced usability during busy mornings. The choice of materials played a crucial role in achieving a fun yet mature aesthetic. Soft, neutral tones were selected for the walls to create an airy feel, complemented by vibrant accents that reflect the personalities of the children. Durable, easy-to-clean surfaces were prioritized, ensuring that the space would endure daily wear and tear while maintaining its visual appeal. Craftsmanship was paramount throughout the renovation, with custom cabinetry installed to maximize storage without compromising style.
