The Modern Kitchen designed and built for a new construction home in Ponca City, OK, showcases a seamless blend of functionality and elegance, tailored to meet the needs of the modern chef. Our client, embarking on the construction of an ICF home on the picturesque edge of a lake, entrusted us with the task of designing and building every room within their residence, culminating in this stunning kitchen. At the heart of the kitchen are the custom frameless cabinets adorned with sleek slab doors, finished in a sophisticated matte black and grey that exudes a soft, luxurious ambiance. The cabinetry is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, featuring innovative interior storage solutions that maximize space and accessibility, even in tall or deep cabinets. This meticulous attention to detail ensures that every item has its place, making the kitchen a pleasure to work in. The centerpiece of the kitchen is the expansive island, which is finished with elegant stone veneer panels that enhance its visual appeal. An electric trash slide-out is conveniently positioned on the user side, adding to the island's functionality. Complementing this design is the Galley Ideal Workstation, thoughtfully integrated into the island and strategically placed opposite the Thermador Freedom Induction cooktop, which is installed against the wall. This setup not only facilitates efficient meal preparation but also highlights the benefits of induction cooking, providing rapid heating and precise temperature control. Additional design elements elevate the space further, including a custom, hand-crafted bronze vent hood that serves as a striking focal point. The carefully curated pendant lighting, suspended above the island, adds warmth and character, ensuring that the kitchen is not only a cooking space but also a gathering hub for family and friends.
