Thanks to our low maintenance environmentally-friendly recycled rubber block product, the client's outdoor living space became a non-slip, attractive patio element, integrating with the existing surrounding natural landscape. The recycled rubber block is great for the environment and because it is an extremely durable product, it will not deteriorate from the extreme weather variances in Chicago. The began with a thorough site evaluation, assessing/uncovering the existing terrain challenges that could lead to heavy drainage issues and uneven surface area; it was a logistical challenge that required anticipating potential complications. After determination of the scope, the team went to work! Using the recycled rubber team and block as a solid foundation, our experienced landscapers affected the design layout well, leveling the area to allow for proper moisture runoff and to prevent soil erosion in the future, always. What was estimated to be a cost-effective and high-quality artificial turf was specifically selected and used for the entire area. The turf looks and feels like natural grass, allowing the client the aesthetic of the lush, green space throughout the entire year with little to no maintenance. A huge bonus was having seating components against the house and some decorative planters were added to enhance the area.
