On The Rocks is a stunning transformation of a 1950s camp into a modern family retreat on the picturesque shores of Sebago Lake in Raymond, Maine. This project beautifully marries contemporary design with the natural beauty of its rocky outcrop location, creating a home that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The family, having fallen in love with the area over the years, sought to create their dream home, which required extensive renovations and thoughtful additions to the existing structure. The scope of the project included the addition of a new entryway and mudroom on the west side, enhancing both functionality and curb appeal. A new staircase was introduced on the south side, improving accessibility and flow throughout the home. The north side saw the addition of a master bedroom suite, providing a private sanctuary that takes full advantage of the serene lake views. Within the existing footprint, the kitchen and two bathrooms were fully renovated, showcasing modern design elements that enhance daily living. A new pantry and laundry room were added to optimize space, while the second floor was reconfigured to include three comfortable bedrooms, perfect for family gatherings or hosting guests. Craftsmanship is evident throughout the project, with high-quality materials selected to ensure durability and style. The master bathroom, a highlight of the renovation, features a simple yet elegant layout with a spacious walk-in shower complete with a seat, a water closet for privacy, and a large vanity that incorporates a bespoke concrete countertop and sink.
