The landscape design is a pleasurable accomplishment of quality and artistry for our clientele in Ballard, Beacon Hill, Clyde Hill, Medina, Mercer Island, and North Beacon Hill. The outcomes comprise a well-balanced combination of modern and natural elements resulting in a tranquil escape that perfectly existing very well with the modern architecture of their home. One fantastic component of this design is the completed multi-tiered patio structure made of locally harvested bluestone; this built a beautiful contrast in tones and textures with the adjacent vegetation. The crew at Vertumni Fine Landscaping developed customized cedar planters, designed specifically with the home’s aesthetic in mind. They create beautiful spaces with seasonal flowers and herbs for culinary use. Another aspect of this job was the steep-grade landscape of the property itself. We were challenged in developing solutions for drainage to protect the longevity of the landscaping. To accomplish this, we built a functional rain garden comprised of native planting, which retains water to care for itself. The native plants thrive in the Pacific Northwest climate, but also promote biodiversity. Building the rain garden resolves drainage complications while enhancing sustainability. In the end, it was an incredible outdoor space for leisure and recreation, complete with an inviting fire pit area with cozy lounge seating. The soft landscape lighting highlighted the majestic quality of the space in evening, creating an appealing nook. The Queen Anne Contemporary job not only created a lovely outdoor space for the clients; it significantly improved the overall value of the property. The clients were thrilled and enamored with the end result; they loved the seamless experience of modern design with natural landscaping.
