The Indian Hills project represents a meticulous enhancement of a mid-century ranch home located in Louisville, KY, completed in 2014. The primary objective was to expand the living space while maintaining the home's original aesthetic, ensuring that the addition would not be visually intrusive from the street. The design approach focused on integrating the new structures seamlessly with the existing architecture, exemplifying a thoughtful balance between modern functionality and classic style. The addition includes three new garage bays that form an "L" shape alongside the original two-car garage, enhancing both utility and curb appeal. This thoughtful configuration not only maximizes space but also preserves the home's original lines, allowing it to remain cohesive with its mid-century roots. Inside, significant transformations were made to the footprint of the original master bedroom, which has been reconfigured to accommodate a stylish powder room, a spacious master closet, and a luxurious master bath. The highlight of this project is the newly constructed master bedroom, which features an elegant fireplace and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, flooding the space with natural light and offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
