Integration of Function and Aesthetics. This highlights the functionality and aesthetics of an outdoor space, both comfortable for relaxation and entertainment. A top-quality, natural Bluestone paver patio with a lot of attention to detail, known for its beauty and strength, is the feature of the design. To accompany the patio, local artisans constructed a lovely seatwall from fieldstone, contributing to the natural essence of the area, and also providing parking for the family when entertaining outdoors. A custom capstone tops the seatwall, providing a smooth transition from yard to patio. We had an existing site condition that we needed to work with as well, originally sloped for drainage whereas the patio needed it to be fairly flat. Our team expertly graded the patio area and built a subsurface drainage system to allow this patio to be functional no matter the weather. For added impact, we also installed well-placed landscape lighting to illuminate in the evenings the seating area below the overhang, providing warmth, allowing us to use that space well in to the night. The patio blends seamlessly into the matrix of lush native plantings that tenderly enfold it and encourage the local biodiversity of plants and wildlife while providing an appealing visual landscape that requires little maintenance. The end product is a successful outdoor sanctuary that fulfills the clients desires but also surpasses their original vision. Artisan Landscapes and Pools has again set the bar for quality craftsmanship and innovative design with the 'Cozy Patio and Seatwall' that is both functional and pleasing to the eye.
