Summary: Rock Garden by P. Allen Smith & Associates P. Allen Smith & Associates is excited to showcase a located in the heart of Little Rock called "Rock Garden." This was a beautiful redesign and showcased the uniqueness and beauty of nature. The rock garden was designed with native stone materials, colorful succulents, and beautiful perennials to create a relaxing environment and garden to explore. The planning started with a thorough site analysis to discover the unique topography and soil conditions of the site. One of the larger challenges of this site was the steep slope of the site, which required us to create unique design solutions to ensure stability and a beautiful outcome. Our landscapers creatively used granite boulders and river rock to create natural terraces that provided beauty and stability for erosion issues. Materials were very important in this , and the stones were all locally harvested to build ecological integrity and ensure the stone materials blended with the surrounding environment. We specified plants that would be drought tolerant and able to thrive in the Arkansas climate, while providing a vibrant presentation with very little maintenance year-round. The end result is a gorgeous rock garden that showcases the natural beauty of Little Rock with meandering pathways and seating areas that creates an eclectic mix of colors to enjoy. Our clients we very happy with the detail put into the rock garden and the quality of work. They noted that the result not only added value to their home, but also a place of retreat for family get together at their home. This is a great example of P. Allen Smith & Associates' commitment to creating beautiful and sustainable outdoor spaces for people in a meaningful way that resonates with nature and keeps outdoor spaces usable for their owners.
