One of the most important aspects of the is the intentional plant selection that included native flowering perennials, brightly colored flowering shrubs, and shade with trees in specific locations. The used high quality, regional materials throughout the garden including natural stone pathways and custom raised vegetable beds that are aesthetically pleasing and durable. Challenges existed on the site including uneven grades and areas with different types of soils. By using creative grading methods and soil amendments the TPOs were able to create an enhanced growing situation for each plant. Rainwater was collected and used for irrigation making a sustainable and reduced-water usage irrigation approach to the overall garden design. Overall, the property featured a new, natural water feature to create enjoyment and wildlife attraction as well as new flora and fauna that enhanced the views past the home and outdoor areas. This property, being local to Arkansas often finds plants and design elements in nature and creates an aesthetic pleasure for the property owner and quality of craftsmanship worthy of its new landscape renovation, leaving a legacy of enjoyable experiences in South Arkansas.
