Backyard patio, retaining walls and fire pit

Backyard Patio, Retaining Walls, and Fire Pit Classic Stonescaping & Gardens would like to share our new a beautiful backyard renovation consisting of a well-planned patio, solid retaining walls, and a handcrafted fire pit. We serve all of Northern Virginia, including Fairfax County, Arlington, Alexandria, and beyond; the purpose of this was to create a peaceful outdoor retreat for our client. The presented some challenges from the start, which was a sloped back yard that would require thoughtful planning and engineering to sustain stability and aesthetics (i.e., the walls needed to be built to withstand normal hydrostatic pressure). We used high-quality stone that was sourced locally to create the retaining walls (to ensure durability and to blend in with the natural landscape). The retaining walls do not only need to provide structural support, but they also work to create terraced levels of the landscape. The patio was built using beautiful, high-quality pavers and is the perfect size to host and entertain guests. The patio incorporated various shapes, textures, and colors to align with the architecture of the home while adding a usable space for gathering with family and friends. We paid careful attention to draining and grading to ensure that rainwater would be directed down-slope and away from the house in order to protect the integrity of the landscape. In the center of this backyard retreat is a handcrafted fire pit, which was built with the same stone material as the retaining walls and creates flow throughout the . This firepit is stunning and offers warmth and glow as a unique focal point while entertaining outdoors. The fire pit is surrounded with comfortable seating to enjoy nights around the fire with family and friends, and the charming view of the stars and mountain scenery. The end result is a wonderful outdoor room that meets/exceeds our client's expectations. Every detail was well thought out and executed, meeting the legacy of Classic Stonescaping & Gardens. Our client now has a functional and beautiful backyard area for entertaining and family enjoyment, and to enjoy a quiet moment of calm in nature.
