Front Yard Entryway with Steps, Retaining Walls, and Porch by Classic Stonescaping & Gardens Classic Stonescaping & Gardens has successfully carried another front yard transformation redefining the entry of this lovely Northern Virginia home, complete with steps, retaining walls, and porch, providing functionality and enriching curb appeal. Central to us was the selection of high-quality materials. We installed natural stone pavers for the steps and for the porch, so the timeless look would be enduring and fit well with nature’s design. We then used durable, weather-resistant stone to form the retaining walls, adding depth and character to the site, while also managing soil erosion from the expansive sloping area of the property. One of the challenges we faced was building the into the existing landscape while not doing harm to the established greenery. Our talented landscapers worked to keep well-established trees and shrubs that would conveniently work with the new structures into the overall plan. In the end, the final result was welcoming enough to warm guests at the entry with the steps leading to a nice sized porch for entertaining guests outdoors, while the retaining walls form terracing to tie the overall landscape addition together while adding depth to the overall . The homeowner was thrilled with the overall outcomes, as they expressed they liked how the coordinated with the lush surroundings while adding value to their property.
