Natural Pond Landscape The 'Natural Pond Landscape' completed by Classic Stonescaping & Gardens exemplifies the confluence of nature and client vision. Located in Northern Virginia, this gorgeous transformation in Great Falls was especially commissioned by a cutomer with an acute sense of style. The design process was managed by our team and focused on creating a placid pond, surrounded by native plants, to enhance the ecosystem and to provide the client with a relaxed retreat. The included a custom-designed pond with a natural stone waterfall, producing relaxing sounds while inviting mindfulness and comfort. High-quality, locally sourced materials were used on the pathways around the pond including natural flagstone and boulders, to bring a rustic yet refined ambience to the space. The slope of the bank was taken into account during the design to improve access to and stability of the habitat while encouraging wildlife. Managing drainage of the site was a key consideration and a challenge for the . Our team successfully solved the potential of flooding by incorporating a sustainable drainage system that guaranteed a safe and clean, ecologically transferred habitat and improved the quality of habitat water. The final result is a beautiful landscape that provided solutions at every turn and enhanced the client’s outdoor experiences within their backyard. It included lush plantings of water lilies and native grasses to provide life and beauty to their landscape every day of the year. The client was ecstatic with the results and called it their “personal oasis” of peace and tranquility- with elegant natural aesthetics.
