About This Project

The Timber Ridge project transformed an existing laundry room and kid's bathroom in a family home located in Erie, PA. This endeavor commenced in 2014, focusing on enhancing both functionality and aesthetics to better accommodate the lifestyle of a family of three. Initially, the laundry room was well-equipped with ample storage; however, the layout and cabinetry did not meet the family's practical needs. By relocating the washer and dryer, repositioning a closet, and widening the doorway, the space was effectively reimagined. These strategic changes resulted in a laundry room that feels significantly larger and is now perfectly tailored to the family's daily routines. Phase two of the project centered on the kid's bathroom, with a particular emphasis on creating a serene tub area for the family’s young daughter, who cherishes long, relaxing baths. The design choices here reflect a commitment to both elegance and functionality. A sleek glass panel was integrated to maintain an open feel, allowing natural light to flood the space while providing a modern touch. In addition, features like an integrated shelf and a shower caddy were incorporated to enhance storage solutions, ensuring that the area remains organized and practical for the family’s needs. The selection of materials and finishes in the bathroom was carefully curated to create a neutral yet sophisticated environment that can evolve with the family as their needs change over time. With gray and porcelain tiles complementing raised-panel cabinets in white, and granite countertops enhancing the overall aesthetic, the space embodies a transitional style that strikes a balance between timelessness and modern appeal. The result is a beautifully crafted bathroom that not only meets the day-to-day demands of a growing family but also provides a tranquil retreat for relaxation.
