Decks & Patios by Lawns of Distinction At Lawns of Distinction, we love to create beautiful outdoor spaces that will improve our clients' homes. The latest we completed was called "Decks & Patios" that extended quality and creativity in our landscaping designs. We completed this in the heart of West Michigan while looking to combine function and style to satisfy both the homeowners' needs for a relaxing outdoor retreat and an area for entertaining family and friends. This started with a thorough consultation, as we wanted to thoroughly understand the homeowner's vision. The result was a large multi-level deck built from high-quality, sustainably grown composite materials to be a durable and low-maintenance surface. To complement the deck design, we created an aesthetically-pleasing stone patio that utilized natural pavers sourced locally, which connected to the deck and created a sturdy surface to accommodate outdoor furniture and gatherings. Throughout the , we faced difficulties, like working on uneven ground and drainage issues. Luckily, we are fully capable of tackling these challenges, and we leveled the ground and installed a discrete drainage mechanism to deal with water runoff and ponding for long-term durability of the deck and patio. Other elements we incorporated into the included built-in bench seating, custom light fixtures, and lush landscaping, like countless colorful flower beds and shrubs that provided a welcoming vibe. The end result is a stunning outdoor retreat that has a perfect blend of comfort and style! The homeowners were thrilled with the outcome and had strong praise for the thoughtfulness of the design and the craftsmanship of the final product. The "Decks & Patios" certainly improved their outdoor living experience and provided value to the property as well.
