Eclectic Musicians Retreat Glendale The 'Eclectic Musicians' Retreat' Bosler Earth Design // Bosler Earth Design showcased a gorgeously transformed private outdoor space in Glendale a sanctuary that embodies the eclectic spirit of its owners. It represents everything that we stand for as builders, with attention to detail and craftsmanship layered in quality with purpose built design focused on our client; a couple of musicians that wanted a space that would provide a respite for creative endeavours as well as relaxation. The retreat features a large, multi-level Ipe wood deck (aligned with sustainability goals) for all your get-togethers and shows. We planted native plants all around the deck, including California poppies, lavender, and drought-resistant succulents that thrive in our climate and our ecosystem. We incorporated artistic water features to increase the atmosphere and sound with a pond with koi and a waterfall that had sounds designed to soothe and relax the environment. The biggest challenge included grading to accommodate the drainage and get the earth movers onto the lot on a slope. Employing sustainable materials and innovative engineering practices, our expert team preserved the region's natural beauty with practical design. Custom stone pathways that wind between the different zones of the garden and lead the user into the various garden spaces were also incorporated into the design. The end product is a colorful, diverse landscape, which merges art and nature, and serves as the perfect setting for musical inspiration. Our client was extremely happy with the transformation and said that the retreat is now a well-loved space for our creativity, relaxing and connecting.
