This embodies our dedication to craftsmanship and artistry, designed to compliment the natural beauty of the home all while providing functional outdoor space. Phase 2 concentrated on expanding the outdoor living space to allow for an open connection from the inside to the outside. We designed a multi level flagstone patio that required little maintenance, utilizing local flagstone to create a rustic yet elegant style. A tailor-made outdoor kitchen filled with a grill, sink, and plenty of counter area permits the family to serve visitors, and relish aliment on the open air with the relaxing backdrop of their natural setting. We used many drought tolerant plants in our design because we wanted our ship to feel in harmony with the landscape around it and to also survive without watering other than the occasional rain fall they needed to be able to thrive without us. To be more eco-friendly, we focused on native species such as flowering succulents and fancy herbs, which bolster natural biodiversity, as well as provide aesthetic and edible value. To solve the problem of achieving a green landscape in a dry area, drip irrigation was placed in a strategic manner to save water. The biggest challenge we faced was the property being on a slope. The solution implemented by our extremely skilled team was to build terraced garden beds in order to create visual interest and provide dedicated spaces for growing a variety of plant life. It offered a method of efficient soil conservation and erosion management to keep this terrain intact over time. The end product is a stunning outdoor oasis that was wholly in our client's vision, yet in design and execution remains a testament to the same level of craft that has established McCabe's Nursery & Landscape Construction as the premier choice for landscape craftsmanship in the bay for over 25 years.
