Founded by Ken Philpin 1988, Kenneth Philp Landscape Architects has grown into a 5-personfirm serving residential, urban, public & commercial design clients in the Pacifc Northwest. The KPLA design process revolves around three equally important and fundamental design elements — architectural style, site characteristic, and our clients vision and personality. We contend that all these factors must be weighed, rather than one at a time, to inform the design process, and we would argue should inform a framework for our development of a concept and program. We make sure that the needs of our clients come first, and we have hired a diverse staff of Landscape Architects, project managers and support staff. Every site and context produces ideas that are specific to that course of the project. This process-oriented design approach is fluid and responsive, which allows us to address the intricacies and possibilities of each project in turn.
