The ARS-1 Mini-Split Air Conditioner Controller stands as an innovative solution tailored to address the longstanding challenge of maintaining distinct temperature settings for day and night in mini-split air conditioning systems. This universal controller is ingeniously designed to be compatible with the majority of mini-split air conditioners, as well as certain models of window-type AC units, provided these systems are operated via an IR (infrared) remote controller. 

The ARS-1 harnesses a unique "learning" process where it captures the IR signals from the air conditioner's original remote control. This process involves using the original remote to transmit its specific codes to the ARS-1 module, effectively enabling the ARS-1 to replicate these commands.

Once the ARS-1 module has successfully "learned" the remote control codes, it gains the ability to autonomously send these signals to the indoor unit of the mini-split system. This functionality allows the ARS-1 to adjust the air conditioner's setpoint according to the predefined Day or Night temperature settings. This adjustment is seamlessly executed based on the status of an integrated photocell sensor, which detects light levels to determine the transition between day and night settings. As a result, users can experience optimal indoor temperatures that automatically adjust to their preferred settings without manual intervention, enhancing comfort and convenience.

However, it is important to note that the ARS-1 module currently does not support certain brands, including Daiken, Mr. Cool, Innovair, Denali Aire, Cooper, and Hunter. This limitation highlights the necessity for potential users to verify compatibility before integrating the ARS-1 with their existing systems.

Additionally, for those looking to maintain the ARS-1 module at peak performance, firmware updates are periodically released. These updates require the use of a Micro SD card with a capacity of 32GB or less, ensuring that the ARS-1 remains equipped with the latest features and improvements.
