Description
Dual Condition Adapter (DCC-1)
The TrolMaster DCC-1 is an innovative device control solution designed to manage a single device based on multiple environmental conditions. This unit is ideal for scenarios where users need to activate devices like exhaust fans either when the temperature or humidity exceeds preset thresholds, or when specific conditions like CO2 levels need to be adjusted simultaneously with other environmental factors.
Designed to integrate seamlessly with TrolMaster’s range of plug-in style modules (such as DSC-1, DSH-1/2, DST-1/2, DSP-1/2, DSV-1, and DSD-1), the DCC-1 connects via an RJ12 cable and works in harmony with these modules to regulate connected devices effectively. Whether controlling an exhaust fan, a CO2 unit, or other critical systems, the DCC-1 ensures precise operation tailored to the current environmental conditions.
The DCC-1 features a versatile "Interlock" function, which allows users to set the module to operate in one of two distinct modes:
- Interlock OFF: In this mode, the DCC-1 allows either of the conditions linked to the paired modules to trigger the connected device independently. This setting is suitable for applications where actions like activating an exhaust fan to lower temperature or humidity need to occur without the other condition being met. For example, an exhaust fan might turn on to reduce high humidity during the night regardless of temperature.
- Interlock ON: When set to this mode, both conditions associated with the paired modules must be met simultaneously for the device to activate. This configuration is ideal for ensuring that actions such as shutting off CO2 enrichment systems only occur when an exhaust fan is operating, or turning off lights if temperatures rise too high, thus maintaining optimal environmental control.
These operational modes provide users with the flexibility to customize device responses based on their specific needs, making the DCC-1 a powerful tool for sophisticated environmental management in various settings.
