Description

Water Detector (WD-1)

The WD-1 water detector from TrolMaster offers versatile functionality, serving as both a leak detector and a water-verification monitor. In leak-detection mode, the WD-1 is positioned to monitor floors or spaces for water accumulation, providing an early warning system for potential leaks.

Alternatively, in water-verification mode, the WD-1 is strategically placed where water runoff is expected to accumulate or where water is being introduced to the growing medium. Each output (solenoid or pump) on the Aqua-x system can be assigned to a specific WD-1. When the Aqua-x activates the assigned solenoid or pump, the WD-1 must detect water within an adjustable delay time. If no water is detected (indicating a pump or solenoid failure), the Aqua-x triggers a user alert, notifying of the "irrigation failure."

The WD-1 is capable of detecting leaks from municipal, well, or nutrient-infused water. However, it may not detect leaks from Reverse Osmosis (RO) water due to its low dissolved solids content.

Moreover, when paired with another water detector (WD-2), the WD-1 can activate the Auto-Fill function on the Aqua-X Pro. The WD-1 is positioned at the bottom of the nutrient tank, while the WD-2 is positioned at the top. When the liquid level drops below the bottom sensor, the Aqua-X Pro activates a solenoid or pump, refilling the tank up to the top sensor.

With the capability to connect up to 25 WD-1 detectors to a single Aqua-X system, the WD-1 offers a comprehensive solution for water monitoring and irrigation management in agricultural settings.
