One of the most popular annuals. Early blooming plants produce tall, graceful, heavily flowered spikes that provide an array of color along walls, fences, and in beds. The graceful flower spikes make beautiful and long-lasting arrangements.
Select sunny location with moist, well-drained soil and plant outdoors soon after the last frost. Where winters are not harsh, start in late Summer, and provide winter protection. Cultivate soil, enriching it with organic matter, and ¬rm over seed, keeping it moist. Plants do not transplant well. Store seed in a cool, dry place. Heat and moisture can severely reduce germination.
